In this article, they state that an eleven-year-old boy was killed trying to help his mother while she was arguing with her boyfriend. She had pulled over on the side of an interstate in West Virginia. Her boyfriend punched her in the face, and then dragged her out of the car once she pulled over. Her son got out of the car to try to get another vehicles attention to pull over and help, but the car didn't see him standing there. The car hit him and he was in the hospital overnight. He had died the next day later. The people driving that car are not being charged with anything. But her boyfriend, that caused all this to happen, is being charged with child neglect causing injury. He is being held on $ 100,000 bond. Jail records did not indicate whether he had an attorney.
